| AA placements or Anti-Aircraft/Anti-Fighter turrets are used to deal damage to fighter craft. Usually they are only equipped on larger ships near openings which are susceptible to attack. Often AA guns are found near hangers or missile bays. AA weapons fire a wide spread short range burst. The idea is to flood an area with enough fire that damage can't be avoided. Even after a successful to hit is rolled a fighter pilot may make a to hit roll to avoid the damage. This can be done any number times a turn but often by odds a failure or partial hit is likely. |
