Story Data: The Rebel's X-Wing versus the Empire TIE Fighter, the classic good versus bad. Ther X-Wing was a prototype fighter whicht eh designers of defected to the Rebel Alliance with. With this defection the Rebel Alliance had their first real top fo the line fighter, easily able to hold its own in battle the only thing limiting it was the need of rare alloys in its construction which delayed the Rebels for years. When the pinnacle battle of Yavin occured it was single handedly an X-Wing which struck the killer blow against the Death Star securing the Rebel Alliance time to escape and fight another day. The T-65A is the initial production number, although hard to tell my guess is this one was either just after the initial two prototypes brought over to the Rebel Alliance. This means this was likely the line they began phasing out at the Battle of Yavin, that or they redesignated it with more standardized equipment being used.
